How our service works
UK School Canopies is not a canopy maker or installer. We are a small, free service that helps schools, academies and nurseries across the UK find a firm to design and install a canopy or covered walkway, and this page explains exactly how.
Fill in the form
Where the school is, what kind of canopy you need and roughly how big, your funding route and timing, and the best way to reach you.
We look for a canopy installer
We find one who covers your area and does the kind of work you described.
We name them to you
Normally within one working day. You say whether you are happy for us to pass on your details. Nothing goes anywhere until you do.
Site visit and fixed price
They look at the site and price the job. Whether to go ahead is up to you, and any contract is with them, not us.
Who we are not
We have no connection with any company that trades under a name like ours. We do not survey, build, install or sell anything ourselves.
What we will never do
- Take money from you, or ask for a deposit.
- Pass your details to a firm before you agree, or to more than the one firm we name.
- Quote a price for your job. Only the firm can do that, after seeing the site.
- Add you to a mailing list.
How the service is paid for
The firm pays us a fee for each introduction. You pay nothing to us, whether or not you go ahead.
About our prices and guides
The prices on this site are typical ranges from installers' published prices and public contract award notices, and each page says where they come from. They help you set a budget or a bid figure; they are not a quote. Our planning and funding notes are general guidance, not legal or procurement advice.
